Great success at Interbuild 2006!

The team at Sapsonline & Ecohomesonline were delighted to see 2 of the group products entered into the Interbuild Product Innovation Awards with one being short-listed for the winning position.

Structurally Insulated Panel System (SIPS) Unidek Condor was a massive hit with the UK House Builders and general contractors. The Unidek Condor SIPS Panels contribute significantly to SAP 2005 whilst providing a unique Modern Method of Construction (MMC) solution and many Housing Associations have made contact to analyse for current and future projects. SIPS Panels provide U Values as low as 0.13W/m2K in standard thicknesses whilst creating a room in the roof with a structural element. Massive cost savings on the built roof are to be had whilst reducing the build time by as much as half. The product is also an environmentally friendly system with zero ODP and zero GWP and scores extremely well on the Ecopoint scoring system.

Platinum Alreflex was also of huge interest giving designers and contractors an effective solution to achieve a 0.27W/m2K U-Value in standard 100mm cavity walls. The system consists of an overall 50mm of Platinum EPS board with a bubble foil on the face to provide a low emmisivity cavity resistance. The system comes complete with wall ties, provides a water resistant barrier and can assist the air tightness of the wall aiding compliance to SAP 2005 and the Ecohomes calculation.
